Askari Hodari is the story of three men fighting crime, poverty, and
inequality in the fictional city of New Buscoll. For years, the underworld
of New Buscoll was run by the Giovanni crime family. The drug trade
flourished. Violent crimes and poverty plagued the city until the
arrival of Dietrick Romellus and the Askari Hodari. Dietrick resurrected
the organization that his father began and set out to rid New Buscoll of
the Giovanni's. Armed with high tech armor, ammunition and veiled
in anonymity, the three men began to chip away at the Giovanni Empire.
The final confrontation ended with Haki Townsend severely crippling Giancarlo
Giovanni, the head of the family. Confined to a wheelchair for life,
Giancarlo and his people were forced to leave New Buscoll. Things
in the city were relatively calm until the rise of Jaal King and the Dreadi.
And this is where our story begins....

is no need for it to be reinforced by ceramic or metal panels which are
bulky, degrade, and restrict mobility. The origin of this armor is
unknown.
Weapons
ARMED COMBAT
The Askari Hodari organization use conventional
weapons that they confiscate from people in the underworld. The ammunition
that they use however is unique. The shell is normal but the round
is a small soft skinned pellet filled with a concentrated local anesthetic.
Since the chemical is absorbed through the skin, no real damage is done
to the target aside from minor bruises and welts. Any one hit by
one of these rounds will be unconscious within seconds. The effects
usually lasts twenty minutes depending on the weight of the target.
The origin of this ammunition is also unknown.
UNARMED COMBAT

art of Vita. It is a hybrid of all the practical and most effective
elements of all martial arts. There are no forms of Katas in Vita.
Every punch, kick, throw, choke, and lock are designed to subdue or severely
cripple an opponent. The Askari Hodari also use an improved form
of Quigong. Developed by the Chinese, Quigong is the process of focusing
inner energy, or Qui, to increase strength, prevent injury during combat,
and promote healing. Vita was created by Clarence Romellus because
of his moral objection to murder. It is the ultimate martial art.
Social Activism
While they are not completely opposed to prisons,
the Askari Hodari feel that incarceration is a temporary solution to more
complex problems. In their opinion, poverty and social inequality
are the fuel that power some crimes. With the money they confiscate
from the underworld, the Askari Hodari have created a number of programs
to assist the poor, including free rehabilitation clinics and scholarship
funds. The also donate funds to other social institutions.
